Guide · For gym sceptics

For people who hate gyms.

If the word 'gym' makes you think of mirrors, loud music, machines you don't understand and a membership you quietly stopped using — you're not alone, and you're not the problem.

Why most gyms don't work for most people

Commercial gyms are designed around volume: sign up as many people as possible and hope most of them don't turn up. There's no plan, no one watching, and the culture is built for people who already know what they're doing. If you're new, older, or just not into it, you're invisible — or worse, self-conscious.

What's different about a coached gym

At KORE you don't wander around deciding what to do. You arrive, your coach tells you what's on, shows you how, watches you do it and adjusts it to you. The group is small and made up of adults in their 40s, 50s and 60s. Nobody is filming themselves.

It's less 'gym' and more 'training session with people you'll get to know'.

  • A plan, so you never guess
  • A coach, so you never worry about technique
  • A small group, so you're never anonymous
  • A calm floor — no crowds, no queues

The honest bit

It's still exercise. You will get out of breath and some of it will feel like effort. But effort with structure and company is a completely different experience from effort alone under strip lighting.

Most people who tell us they hate gyms end up staying. Not because we convinced them — because it turned out they didn't hate training, they hated being left to it.

Try it for 30 days

The 30 Day Coached Trial exists so you can test this properly without committing. A month of coached sessions, no tie-in. If it isn't for you, that's fine — you'll leave knowing more than you arrived with.

Thirty days, coached.
Then decide.
